Everyday Summer Makeup

Picture

Hey everyone, we all want to look glowing and healthy this summer. And makeup can definitely help with that. Let's be real, sometimes I do not feel like putting a full face of makeup on, but this makeup routine is lightweight for me and works well. It usually doesn't leave me caked up, like some makeup products.

My skin type is oily and has some breakout, so I just want enough coverage to cover the blemishes. So for summer, I don't want to put a lot of layers on my face except for events and going out. Believe me, if I had perfect skin with no blemishes, I would rock a no makeup look everyday! Power to the girls that have clear skin!!
First and for most, do not forget to take care of your face! Moisturize and put SPF on your skin before heading out.

Primer: Smashbox photo finish foundation primer

I've used this primer for years and it makes my makeup stay on my skin all day and it is a smooth consistency. SMASHBOX PHOTO FINISH PRIMER

Concealer: Tarte Shapetape Concealer

ONE OF THE BEST CONCEALER I'VE EVER USED. FULL COVERAGE!!! I put this on my problem areas (chin, forehead) and down the bridge of my nose to make my skin brighter on those points. I use a beauty sponge to put the concealer on. TARTE SHAPE TAPE CONCEALER

Beauty Sponge: Morphe Flawless

I used to use the Beauty Blender, then the Real Techniques one, and now I've conformed to Morphe! I feel like a lot of sponges are basically the same thing, except the shape of the sponge. MORPHE FLAWLESS SPONGE

Powder Foundation: It Cosmetics Celebration FOundation

My dermatologist instructed me not use a liquid foundation because it tends to clog pores and cause some breakouts, so I've been using powder foundations the past couple of years and really like it! The only con to using powder foundation is if you have some dry spots on your face, the powder will not set in that area and will look patchy. This is where moisturizer is key! I love this IT cosmetics one for their color range and finished look. It's mainly full coverage, but it just depends what kind of brush you use. If I use a flat, condensed brush then the finish of the powder will be more full coverage. If you use a more fluffy, spared brush then the effect will be more medium coverage and can be built up the more you apply. For a simple, summer day I use the more fluffy brush to apply the powder! Brownzer: Physicians Formula Butter Brownzer

It's so buttery and smooth on your face! Super cheap too at the drug store!!! PHYSICIANS FORMULA BUTTER BRONZER

Highlight: Tarte Tartiest Pro Glow liquid Highlight, in "Stunner"

So natural and radiant!! Just started using liquid highlight and I just use my fingers to apply on my cheek bones, tip of my nose, and cupids bow. SO PRETTY! TARTE TARTIEST PRO GLOW HIGHLIGHT

Eye Brows: Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil, in "2"

Picture
I've always used this pencil and it's so smooth and great to help fill in my brows. Lightweight for summertime! BENEFIT PRECISELY MY BROW PENCIL

Mascara: L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise

Picture
Still a staple in my routine, best drug store mascara! Lengthens lashes and makes them look more full! I tend not to use shadow if it's just my everyday, easy makeup look because it just piles on during the day and sometimes wipes away in the sun. But if I'm going out and getting dressed up then I'll go for a warm toned eye look. LOREAL VOLUMINOUS LASH PARADISE

Setting Spray: Morphe Continuous Setting Mist

Picture
Set your face before you leave! It locks your makeup in and gives your face some moisture! This is my go to spray! MORPHE CONTINUOUS SETTING MIST

I know this look seems really basic but I just wanted to share! Let me know what you're favorite summertime products are this summer!
