11/22/2017 2 Comments ReCap of Halloween Time at DisneylandIt's the great mickey pumpkin! The time has sadly past to see all the fall decor and pumpkins at the happiest place on earth! It was Halloween time at the Disney parks and it is one of the best sights to see! It's so festive and bright with all the orange and brown colors with pumpkins around every corner! The Disneyland Resort celebrated fall and Halloween September 15th, 2017 til October 31st, 2017. They even decorated California Adventure for the first time in forever (it's actually only been a couple years) and I wrote a blog post all about it, so go check it out! Here are my favorite sights, treats, attractions, and just thingamabobs at the Disneyland Park this season. pumpkin heads ontop of the entrance queThese little, okay big, pumpkin heads of the Fab 5 are so cute and decorated for fall! They are even lit up at night time, just like a jack-o-latern! So cute! Haunted Mansion Holiday: The Nightmare Before CHristmas Edition Attraction THIS RIDE IS EPIC. The classic Haunted Mansion attraction in New Orleans Square is being haunted by other foolish creatures. Of course it's from the amazing Tim Burton The Nightmare Before Christmas! The Haunted Mansion is celebrating Christmas during Halloween, Thanksgiving, AND Christmas!! It is an AWESOME attraction to go one many times during the holiday season! There's so much detail in the ride with everything like the characters, sights and even smells! Waiting time for this ride just depends, so you can either wait between 15 minutes and up to 120 minutes! I suggest to go at the right times when there's hardly a wait time or get a fast pass during hight traffic days. My favorite thing in the ride is seeing the newly added Sally animatronic in the graveyard scene, where she's posted up on a grave! Zero's hallway also a favorite of mine too! Even if you're not a big fan of the film, just go and get in the holiday spirit and go on the attraction! I wasn't too fond of the film and creepy characters at first, but after going on the attraction a few years ago when I moved to SoCal, I loved it and enjoyed the movie more! THE Villains are out to playThere are already some villains that do walk around the parks, but more of them do come out during the Halloween/fall time! Some of the villains that come are Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), Cruella Deville (101 Dalmatians), Hades (Hercules), Evil Queen (Snow White and the Seven Dwarves), Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland), Dr. Facilier (Princess and the Frog), Jack and Sally (Nightmare Before Christmas), Kylo Ren (Star Wars), Darth Vader (Star Wars), Lady Tremaine and the Tremaine sisters (Cinderella)! Some of these characters are out all year, but some are exclusive to Halloween/ fall time like Jack and Sally and Hades. They are all so awesome and fun to watch and interact with! The villains especially go out during the Mickey's Halloween Party that is a special ticketed event at the park. FOOD TThe food is ALWAYS THE BEST at Disneyland, but they step it up during Halloween/fall time! The meals are more themed and warmer, there are more fun drink options, the deserts are decorated to the max! SO GOOD! The Candy Palace offers so many halloween treats there to choose from like cupcakes, rice crispy treats, cake pops, and candy apples! The meals that I am interested in there Barbacoa Torta and chips at Rancho del Zocalo and spicy chicken sandwich with Sriracha sauce at Carnation Cafe. For desserts, there are also more flavored churros, like pumpkin spice and s'mores, and candy corn cotton candy! Talk about a sugar rush! SIGHTS TO SEEThe decorations at Disneyland are always top notch and superb! The decorators and cast members that put up the decorations do it all in one night and that's just insane! We need to give a round of applause to them for doing it. There are cute pumpkins, bats, lights, and lots of colors around Main Street USA and Buena Vista Street. It just feels like fall and cozy when you're there. My favorite thing to do there is to drink hot chocolate and walk around Main Street to people watch! Especially when it's the time of Mickey's halloween Party and everyone is dressed up in amazing costumes!!! Mickey's Halloween PartiesMickey throws the best Halloween parties ever!! They are separate ticketed events for guests and lots of characters to attend. Tickets range from $70 to $150 and they're purchased on the Disneyland website. Tickets do sell out, so it's best to purchase them early in August and September. October is a popular month to go the event. You may dress up in costume for the party, but there are very strict rules regarding dressing up so please look them up on the Disneyland website. It is a very fun party to go to because there are exclusive characters, parade, and firework show! Also, you can't forget about the epic trick or treat trails that are all over the Disneyland park! The longest (best) one is along the Rivers of America by New Orleans square area!! Thanks for reading
