Over Labor Day Weekend, my parents and I took a quick getaway trip to Viva Las Vegas! I've been over Spring Break with friends, but my parents haven't vacationed there in years! We were all excited to go for a change of scenery and seeing casinos left and right. We stayed at the South Point resort at the South point of town, duh. On our first day, we went straight to the pool and it was not crowded, but it was HOT OUTSIDE. We drank some Pina Coladas and relaxed! We knew we wanted to see a show that night since we've never seen one there. I of course wanted to see Britney Spears or JLO, but had to hold back because of my dad. Maybe next time JLO ;)
We ended up picking the Beatles Inspired show that was done by Cirque Du Soleil and bought our tickets at the entrance. The show was PHENOMINAL! As a dancer, I especially loved that they incorporated a lot of choreography, even if it's the twist and shout move! The silks and the acrobats were crazy and beautiful, they looked effortless. The show included all of the Beatles iconic hits. My favorite piece was 'I Want to Hold Your Hand' and the 'Drive My Car' medley. Majority of the show was bright and loud, which were the Beatles back in the 60's and 70's. 'Help!' was also a great piece because they had so many different types of acrobats in it, not just tumbling.
It was fun going on a date with my parents and that it was our first time seeing a Cirque Du Soleil show! My parents are so cute and I'm so glad they invited me on this fun trip!
I got this dress from Nordstrom a month ago and I found out as I was checking out that it was discounted to $18! I SCORED! I'll try to find it on the site or a similar one.
After, we walked around the area where the Mirage is like, Treasure Island, Venetian, and Palazzo. Just when we were walking across the street to the Venetian, I remembered that Buddy Valastro, from the TLC show "Cake Boss", opened a bakery in the Venetian! My mom and I raced over there and found it on the walkway where there's a couple of restaurants and bars at. It was so cute and the colors were like the original bakery in Hoboken, NJ! We immediately ordered two cannolies to go, because obviously he's known for his delicious cannolies!! They were made to order and were SO GOOD! My mom and I were so excited! They had cakes, pastries, and cookies there and looked great!
Sorry I made you hungry for the treats!
Saturday we went shopping at the Caesars Palace's mall and of course stopped at the beautiful Victoria's Secret store! We definitely did some damage there! Later we went to a Fantasy Football draft party for my dad and then went later that night.

We used the monorail and that was very useful! We used it from MGM to Paris and back for $12. We stopped by my favorite place The Taco Bell Cantina and my mom and I shared some drinks! I got the Baja Blast slush with Vodka and my mom got the Strawberry Margarita! The place looks cool and has some tables to sit at upstairs and outside. Definitely for the younger crowd looking for a midnight snack!
We just stopped at some open bars around the area and went to bed! Sunday we relaxed at the pool in the morning before heading home. It was a fun getaway and recommend staying at the South Point resort if you're looking to not stay on the strip and want more of a relaxed vacation!
Thanks for reading and let me know what you're favorite place to stay at in Vegas!
